Individual Program
The goals of your personalized health counseling program are to empower you with the skills and knowledge for you to take control of your health and happiness.
Like most of us, you have probably tried a variety of diets, and may even have managed to do well on some for a few weeks or even months. However, the emphasis that most diets place on willpower, deprivation and denial is both unnecessary and counterproductive. Unless you have a plan that is practical, works with your lifestyle, and takes your individuality into account, the changes you have worked so hard to make will not last. My expertise is in helping you to figure out what works best for you.
Conventional dietary theories present you with food restrictions and limitations that are difficult to sustain over time. Such quick fixes do nothing to help you achieve life-long health and happiness, nor do they bring out the body’s natural inclination toward balance. Based on your needs, I will gradually introduce new and healthful foods and activities into your lifestyle. As you start to feel better, these habits will have a natural tendency to remain with you, and will crowd out the less healthful ones.
In becoming healthier, other areas of your life such as relationships, career and creativity start to improve. You will naturally begin to crave the foods and activities that make you feel better, and you will feel more motivated to make time in your life for those things that are truly important to you.

A Recipe for a Healthy Work Force
As health benefit costs continue to rise, employers are looking for new ways to save money without shifting costs to employees or reducing benefits. An alternative strategy that would contain costs is to improve the health of the employees through an on-site employee health education and support program. When employees feel well, they take fewer sick days, make fewer medical claims, and most importantly, their productivity and morale are greatly improved.
Employee Health and Wellness Workshops
As a Certified Health Counselor, I facilitate an Employee Health and Wellness workshop series. The workshop is a fun and informative forum for the discussion of healthy living. I use an interactive approach to enhance learning and personal empowerment. Participants engage in discussion through various exercises and brainstorming. They also receive valuable giveaways such as informational hand-outs, recipes and food samples to further their knowledge after the workshop.
In these workshops, participants will learn:
- Diet and lifestyle choices that cause poor health
- The effects of sugar and caffeine on health and energy
- How to make better food choices at work and at home
- How to decipher package labels and purchase the best quality foods
- How to improve lifestyle with exercise and relaxation

In my experience, most people are naturally interested in how food impacts their daily energy and well-being, and are willing to change their diet and lifestyle habits in order to improve their energy level and general health, if they are given the knowledge and support to do so.
